Harlech Castle

Llanfair Slate Caverns

Whilst the castle is outstanding (and it really is!), there are plenty of other things to do in Harlech too. A favourite activity in the area is the Llanfair Slate Caverns. This day out is packed full of adventure, history and nature! You will traverse into the cavern and explore some of the oldest slate in the world. Meander the tunnels of Llanfair Slate Caverns underneath the mountains. When you’ve finished exploring the candlelit tunnels, you’ll emerge from the caves to the breath-taking view of Cardigan Bay and the Preseli mountains.
