When you stay at Castle View Holiday Park, you’ll be perfectly placed near some of the best Mid Wales beaches. Harlech beach is just a five-minute walk from Castle View Holiday Home Park. A naturally beautiful and unspoilt coastline, it’s no wonder Harlech beach is a designated National Nature Reserve and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Families can enjoy water sports and fishing, whilst sunbathers can lie back, unwind and even catch a glimpse of the Cardigan Bay dolphins!

Wildlife

Dolphins aren’t the only things to be spotted at Mid Wales beaches, wildlife thrives in Harlech and leatherback turtles can be spotted in the summer months when they have migrated from warmer climates. North of the beach you will also find the Morfa Harlech Nature Reserve – the whole family can enjoy a visit to this nature reserve, home to lots of rare plant species and birdlife.

Barmouth Beach

If you enjoy traditional Mid Wales beaches, you’ll love Barmouth beach which is just a short drive away from Castle View Holiday Home Park. Barmouth is an expansive beach stretching miles of glorious golden sands along Cardigan Bay. Uniquely offset by views of Snowdonia National Park, Barmouth beach is a ‘coast to countryside resort’. Snowdonia provides some of the most stunning countryside walking trails in Wales but if it’s coastal walking you’re after then Barmouth is ideal for you. The grand Barmouth Bridge sits across the harbour and provides beautiful views of Mawddach estuary. Another way to enjoy these coastal views is by walking along the beach from Harlech to Barmouth, starting from the door of your very own holiday home.
